The Kansas City Chiefs released a report that projects an $8.2 billion economic benefit during construction of its domed stadium, practice facility and entertainment districts in Kansas. It also foresees 55% more construction jobs than initially forecast.

The Kansas City company now produces about 120 trucks a month and recently landed its largest order ever.

The UG and developer Eastside Innovation couldn't reach agreement on land payments or tax incentives. Pulling the plug on the $1.13 billion mixed-use development would send the long vacant former Indian Springs mall site back to square one.

A more-than-century-old Westside property rooted in Kansas City railroad history, and mostly vacated after fintech layoffs in 2025, is on the market.

The 113-year-old structure has seen at least two previous conversion proposals fail in the last decade. Construction could start in spring 2027.

This will be the first venue outside Ohio for the Cincinnati-based operator. Its other venues support 300 to 350 shows annually, with around 900,000 ticket sales.
